The Heart shown here Is made out of cardboard. I scaled up the original drawing and used that as my base.

This is a mock-up of the six panels that will be shown at the black gallery. Each one has it's own meaning and are meant to be visual metaphors for social anxiety.
The walking figure on the top left has a spotlight shined on them. This is meant to represent how people with anxiety feel in social situations. They feel like they are in the spotlight, and that everyone is looking at them. They try to walk way from it. The eye on the top right illustrates the same idea. |
The distorted brain illustrates stress and the inability to process anything correctly.

I decided not to set my canvases/panels in a grid. This photo shows the order in which I plan to display my work. The two canvases on the top and the ones on the sides will be doubled in order to increase the size of the projections. The canvases in the center will stay the same.
The arrangement of the panels is much more interesting that a simple grid. |
